Rev. Courtney L. Adams
Pastor Courtney L. Adams is an entrepreneur, influential mentor, innovative leader, prolific teacher, and passionate preacher. Courageous, Relevant, Powerful, and Anointed are just a few characteristics to describe Pastor Courtney.
Pastor Courtney is an ordained Elder in Full Connection in the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church. His love for the Word of God and God’s people is often exemplified in his personal walk, charismatic preaching, and his heart to do
ministry in a spirit of excellence! Receiving Christ into his heart at the early age of 7, He has continued operating in kingdom work and has become a monumental voice to his generation. Pastor Courtney seeks to lead with integrity and authenticity as a husband, father, and servant leader.
Having served as Assistant Chaplain at Lane College and Pastor of congregations in Denmark, TN, Mercer, TN, Brownsville, TN, and most recently, the Historic Israel Metropolitan CME Church in Greenville, SC, as a progressive leader, Pastor Courtney has a record of congregational growth, progressive ministry and creating a culture of excellence and vibrancy. Pastor Courtney has seen the fulfillment of Ephesians 3:20 in his life –“Now unto him that is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.” In addition to establishing an Educational Hub called P.A.L.S. during COVID that provided working class parents a safe place to bring their children during the day for virtual learning, most recently, Pastor Courtney led his former congregation in purchasing, renovating, and completing its first Airbnb Rental Property, creating an additional revenue stream to bless generations to come.

In July 2023, Pastor Courtney was transferred from the Carolina Region to the New York-Washington Region of the Seventh Episcopal District and appointed to serve as the Senior Pastor of the Phillips Metropolitan CME Church in Hartford, CT. As an extension to his work as Pastor, Pastor Courtney serves as an appointed member on the Executive Board for the Connectional Young Adult Ministry, CIT Director, and the Episcopal Director for Haitian Mission Work for the Seventh Episcopal District of the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church.

Pastor Courtney is the principal Owner and Founder of CLA Enterprises, LLC, the parent company of iHelp Training Solutions & Consultancy. As an entrepreneur, he is committed to building digital champions through the training of seniors in technology in an effort to close the digital divide. Pastor Courtney believes deeply in marriage and family as his first ministry. He is married to Lady Shalonda R. Adams, a Registered Nurse. Together, they have been blessed with four beautiful daughters: Jayden, Skylar, Chloe, and Olivia Grace.
